Same-Sex Marriage vs. California Fires vs. Arod’s Divorce

I was reviewing the news stories on my blackberry this morning and came to this realization.  When the day’s news is talking about same-sex marriage, nobody can think about anything else….. until…. fires erupt in California.  Then that becomes the main focus on everybody’s mind…. until Alex Rodriguez’s wife files for divorce.  Too bad for Nicole Kidman’s birth announcement today, because evidently Arod’s extra-curricular activities are more important to the public.  My thoughts… common folks are so simple.  When the day comes that may allow for American’s to vote for my right to marry my same-sex partner, I hope a 2 headed calf is born to occupy their minds.
